God's Love and God's Judgement

Living a life being set apart. Moral and ethical issues for Bible believers

The first thing people see when they see us is how we carry ourselves, how we dress, how we talk and act, maybe how we live in our homes and take care of our belongings. Also, once interacting with us, they see how we relate to others in our attitudes and actions. In all things, do we live in a way that glorifies the Lord or brings shame to Him.

You really desire to do the right thing, but in some areas it is difficult to understand what the Lord would want of us to do. It is with careful study of the Word, with guidance from the Holy Spirit, and sometimes some loving guidance from other mature Christians that can help steer us, when we are faced with lifes tough situations or dilemmas.

In addition to areas mentioned above, we often ponder areas like; should a Christian; celebrate certain events like halloween, carry guns and weapons, protest for a cause, be involved in politics, etc:

What does the God's word in the Bible say about these and many other matters. To look at all individual matters is not even remotely possible but to consider what scripture has to say about some topics; then applying these principles to everyday life dilemmas, is very possible. Asking the question 'What should a Christian do about' or 'What should I do'; that will glorify God and be of a good witness to man is the primary goal.

Rom. 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts

For one who calls themselves a Christian, your behaviour sets the tone for how others see you and your faith. Being a believer, you are a representative in all ways that we demonstrate our faith. God is interested on what’s on the inside; but what we consider as acceptable is often a reflection of ourselves, our morals, our ethics and represents a picture to others.

Gal. 5:13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

There are so many areas that can show others of reverance and respect of our Lord or that can have the opposite affect.
