Can Salvation Really be Free?

Everyone enjoys something that is free, especially if it is a good and benificial thing that is free. Here is something that is absolutely free, at no cost to you; but it did cost to someone. After all everything has a cost and if it is free for you then someone else had to pay for it.

How much does it cost? What's it worth? Both are interesting questions.

Cost is the amount it takes to complete a purchase such as a bill, tab, or monetary expense; while worth is the usefulness of the object, the benefit, value, and importance of the thing purchased. We justify the paying a certain cost based on the personal worth that accompanies that purchase. In our minds we juggle the unemotional, hard facts of cost along with the subjective, appeals of worth.

Worth either convinces the buyer that either the cost is acceptable or it is not. The difference between handling our money wisely or foolishly is largely determined between cost and worth.

We can determine your scale of values by the things you purchase. Or, to use the words of Jesus in Matt. 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also".

So next time you ask, "How much does it cost?" think also about "What's it worth?"

Salvation is free for you. Jesus Christ paid the price of your sin when he took the burden of all the sin of mankind on Himself at the cross.

Do you know that you are a sinner? The Bible says in Rom. 6:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". That 'all' includes everyone of us. Since we all have sinned we needed someone to pay for that sin and that someone is Jesus Christ.

Consider Jesus Christ today, call on Him to save you; after all He is waiting for you to come to Him.

So you must consider "How much does it cost to not accept Jesus Christ?" Think also about "What's it worth to accept Jesus Christ?"
